So we rush to school and I get the only sub left (and yes, there was a reason that was the only sub left). I ended up being out Monday and Tuesday. Then, Wednesday was our 100th day of school, so that was a little crazy. Then, on Thursday afternoon, my son's teacher called to tell me he had spiked a fever again. Luckily, my hubby was able to stay home with him today. Unfortunately, my head cold returned today and now my son feels great and I feel yucky!
Since all I want to do right now is go to bed, here is this month's Currently:
Listening - Have y'all ever watched this show? I used to watch it every week, but got out of it. Sometimes it's pretty interesting. I wish some of the people in charge of education would go undercover in my classroom. I don't think they'd last a day - just sayin'
Loving - yep, I've got some AWESOME volunteers this year. I have a Monday grandma (who is a retired teacher), a Tuesday/Thursday mom (who is just great), and a Friday grandma (who is also a retired teacher). What more could a girl ask for?
Thinking - yeah, I'm tired of spending my weekends planning. I need to just bite the bullet and get it done during the week.
Wanting - That speaks for itself
Needing - I just want to feel better!
Pet Peeves - Y'all know the teachers I'm talking about. The ones who have been doing the same thing for years on end and whenever you mention something new and different they act like you're asking them to chop off an arm. It just bugs me, you know.
Now, I'm off to lay in bed and watch some TV until I crash. Hopefully, I'll feel better tomorrow!
Ah... I know those teachers. They're also the ones that will come up with 100 million reasons against trying anything new. So frustrating!!
ReplyDeleteMy little boy is sick too. We have a million things to do this weekend, and it's looking like they will all be put on hold to recover. I hope you feel better too!

I agree about the cold! I'm getting over a sinus infection (with some drug help!) and I feel like it hanging on. Not fun!

Live, Laugh, I love Kindergarten
Gotta love those teachers who like to be stuck in a rut! We have a few of them like that at our school. Thankfully they are close to retirement! Hope you feel better soon!
